The Connecting Classrooms through Global Learning programme – brought to you by the British Council in partnership with the Department for International Development – supports schools internationally to learn about and collaborate on the big issues that shape our world.
Connecting Classrooms through Global Learning works with schools around the world to help young people develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to thrive.
International connections can bring learning to life, helping students apply global issues to their local environment and use their skills to create positive change.
Specifically, the objectives of the course are to enable teachers to plan stimulating lessons that focus on relevant aspects of the six ‘Areas of Learning and Experience’, the three cross-curricular responsibilities of literacy, numeracy and digital competence and the four wider skills:
- critical thinking and problem solving;
- planning and organisation;
- creativity and innovation;
- personal effectiveness.
